Horror is a genre which has the common themes of the supernatural and/or macabre. The supernatural themes are often seen in sci-fi or horror literature where the unknown aspects of nature are portrayed to the audience in a scary fashion. Macabre as a theme can be seen in most zombie films which is often seen as some form of the dead being manipulated to a near living state by a source which is either known or unknown to the audience. For example:
In the game State Of Decay 2, which is a horror game. Has zombies which were created by a virus known in game as “blood plague”. This is just one example of how the theme Macabre in horror literature is used/seen.
